U.s. Spy Drones Drug Cartels in Mexico
America started sending unmanned aircraft over Mexico to gather information on drug cartels that operate there, in order to combat crime and it affects the U.S.
Pentagon Mexico began sending unarmed drones, which fly at high altitude, since last month to gather information to help those units which fight against Mexican drug cartels.
Barack Obama President Felipe Calderon and the Mexican were established on March 3, to continue flying, but that they be kept secret because of legal restrictions in Mexico and sensitivities over sovereignty.
Although U.S. officials have refused to comment publicly on this, it seems that a solution is acceptable, given the threat that comes from the Mexican drug cartels is becoming stronger. Although the Mexican president in 2006 triggered a real “drug war” that killed over 30,000 people are still very powerful cartels. America’s main foreign country affected, given that the most important is the final destination of the drugs coming from southern neighbor.
