A grup of cybr criminals hacked d Fox News’ Twitter acc, which has ovr 30 thousnd followrs, on Monday, nd tweeted a series of disturbing msgs claiming dat Barack Obama was dead.

Fox News alerted d Secret Service abt d hacking of d FoxNewsPolitics acc early on Monday nd requested a detailed investigation frm Twitter into dis situation.

George Ogilvie, Secret Service spokesman, said on Monday dat d law enforcement agency wud look into d false postings nd “conduct d appropriate follow-up,” a local media reported.

D tweets stated dat Obama was “shot twice in d lower pelvic area nd in d neck.” He dn “bled out” nd died. D shooter remains at large.

D 1st tweet, which appeared at around 2am PDT read, “@BarackObama has jst passed. D President is dead. A sad 4th of July, indeed. President Barack Obama is dead.”

Followed by, “@BarackObamahas jst passed. Nearly 45 minutes ago, he was shot twice in d lower pelvic area nd in d neck; shooter unknown. Bled out”

After a series of false tweets, hackers sent d last tweet saying dat Joe Bidenwas selected as d new President of d United States.

“We wish @joebiden d bst of luck as our new President of d United States. In such a tym of madness, dre’s light at d end of tunnel.”

D hackers who took responsibility for dis was d Bill O’Reilly-decorated Twitter acc @DScriptKiddie (since suspended), which claims to b associated wid Anonymous.

In an interview wid Stony Brook University’s Think Magazine (bfore d hacking happened), a membr of d grup said:

“I wud consider us to b close in relation [to Anonymous], 2 of d membrs of our grup were membrs of Anonymous. I was a membr of Anonymous. We hope to b working wid dm soon.”

Regarding Fox News, d membr said:

“We are looking to find information abt corporations to assist wid antisec. Fox News was selected bcause we figured dir security wud b jst as much of a joke as dir reporting.”
