Video a Professor From Egypt, Filmed While Beating Students, Says The Blame for His Actions is The Revolt Against Mubarak’s

 A video that shows a teacher from Egypt while several student strikes was posted on the Internet, prompting vehement criticism in the Arab country, reports uk.news.yahoo.com. The teacher, identified as Magdi el-Shaar, was arrested. He said his actions are determined by the revolution in Egypt earlier this year that led to the removal from power of President Hosni Mubarak.

The incident took place in a school center in Kafr Shukri, Gharbiya in the state.

Teacher is shown while children check homework, after which he collides with a ruler. The man can be seen smiling while her aggressive to the little ones, howling in pain while trying to dodge the blows.

At least one man can be heard laughing in the background while the teacher strikes children. The footage was shot by a woman with a wave, an unidentified employee of the center. Finally, the images are still two adults who were present at the violent scenes.

Over 10 children, all aged under 10 years old, were assaulted by a teacher.

Local police said the man had been arrested and is being investigated by prosecutors and the center where the incident occurred was closed by order of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, which will decide whether to reopen or educational institution. 

According to Egyptian press, El-Shaar told authorities they were “beating and corporal punishment are the best means of discipline of children, especially after the revolt of January 25.
