Vladimir Lenin and The Red Terror

This one is my Global History class essay that I worked on for about a week. Research done, edited and set up. I hope that the reader could say that I did a good job, whereas sometimes, I don’t feel like a good writer and that I am under the opinion that there is always someone better then me. Comments are open so I may see what people’s opinions and veiwpoints are. Comments are greatly appreciated so I may become better a writing reports.

 Lenin and the Red Terror

Vladimir Lenin, a revolutionist and leader of the future Soviet Union. He was the head leader of the Bolshevik party, which had the soul idea of that everyone was equal and the ideology that everything that was made by everyone was for the good of the state. Which this, is where the idea for Communism first came about. Communism is based off of the idea that regardless everyone is equal and in that, it has its own type of corruption. In this form of corruption, it prevents the birth of ideas and all sorts that provides that grounds for individualism and idealism where everyone will have this one simple mindset and that is it. But a society cannot run like this, only then if it is molded into this, such as the Chinese government and the Russian government alike.

Lenin came to power by the factor that Russian wanted a new form of government and in that is Karl Marx’s ideas of equality. But Communism is equality all the way around, until it is forced upon a group of people, which gives Communism its corruption.

The Red Terror went on when Lenin decided to aid the troops by “confiscating” or taking away the food of the people and that was more off like a tax. If you did not pay up, it was likely you were executed or sent to the Gulag; which is a prison camp. It then got worse off when small crimes that didn’t really matter, were punishable with the same amount of consequences.

At the head of this, Lenin figured something out, that people were afraid of what those consequences were. What gave people punishment was the affect of disrespecting the government, in any way whatsoever. This prevented the ideas of overthrowing any part of the newly formed Soviet Union. What Lenin knew was that fear was the main cause as to everyone. He also knew that if he used unnecessary violence that he would have the people’s attention and at his beckoning call.

In the end, a lot of people were killed from the Red Terror, as it is known. With Vladimir Lenin who lead it all. It proves that fear can control people and under that control, no one goes against it.
