Brief Introduction
Greetings, and let me be the first to welcome you to the community journal: Desert Trails, Tales and Treasures…
I want this site to evolve into anything the reader wishes. The only caveat is that all postings should make a firm connection to the desert. One that is either literal or abstract, both are perfectly suitable, so long as the choice makes sense.
I want to pay homage to a revealing land. It defines me the way ones childhood homeland defines anyone. For the rest of my life it will, and I want to explore this facet of my past in hopes that I might better understand myself. I wish to take this journey with others it somehow feels safer that way.
Whatever else may evolve is fate in motion, and I don’t get in the way of that. No sir, there is no reason to…
It is a self-defeating act. The kind that’s meaningful in one man’s eyes yet may not be in another’s. While it is a potential consequence you can submit anything you wish via email and we can decipher away any ambiguities that may exist.
There is no way to say constructively what does or doesn’t relate to the desert in a meaningful way, not without moralizing there isn’t. What is enough? When is that magical threshold crossed far enough and for long enough to be considered?
I don’t believe these questions aren’t answerable to the extent we wish them. Thus, our decisions regarding what it is any of us think should have a posting will have to remain subjective and gracious. How else should a man act under any circumstances profiled for him by self-doubt?
