Why Louis the 16 Was Executed
Louis the XVI was the last king of France…
Louis the XVI was the last king of France. He was born on the 23rd of August 1754 and executed on 21 January 1793. He was married to an Austrian princess; Marie Antoinette. Louis the XVI reined under a time of revolution (1774-1789); the storming of the Bastille in July 1789, the march of women in October 1789, etc. People had enough of the royal and noble dominance. Life was unjust and hard if you were a peasant. The peasants wanted rights and respect. This made the French revolution violent and bloody. The king was arrested in 1789 and executed 4 yeas later after the defeat against Prussia in 1793. Here are the main reasons of Louis the XVI’s execution.
Louis the XVI was weak in character and mentally dull. He was easily influenced by Marie Antoinette. He gave hardly any interest to his kingdom and couldn’t handle the problems in the society. His diary show how much he didn’t understand about being a king. He would spend most of his time hunting, making locks and, sometimes building furniture. When Louis the XVI was still very young, he did not care about Marie Antoinette but later on she was the one who made him concern about France a bit more; It is because of her influence that Louis XVI started opposing the revolution. All of this was found in his diary and letters that Louis the XVI wrote.
There was a big problem at that time that made the peasants very angry, the taxes. Back in the royalty time, the nobles were advantaged. They would be close to the king and have lands where they would receive revenue. The nobles did not have to work. They had peasants that would work for them. They had many rights that peasants wouldn’t have. Under the nobles were the peasants and the bourgeoisie. The peasants worked all day long, they would be poor and live in hard conditions. The bourgeoisie would be classified as rich peasants. They had the same rights as the peasants but would have money food and would be living in good conditions. Some would be even richer then nobles. The peasants and the bourgeoisie would be paying taxes. Of course the simple peasants would suffer way more then the bourgeoisie because they had nearly nothing and what they possessed was taken away, but this also annoyed a lot the bourgeoisie because they would earn their money from labor and the nobles would earn money doing the money. How come they were the ones paying taxes! This united the bourgeoisie and the peasants against the king even more.

This is a poor essay on the French revolution–it is rife with errors. First of all, Louis XVI was not the last king of France–his two brothers reigned after him after a restoration of the Bourbons and a cousin, Louis Philippe, reigned as King of the French after Louis XVI’s last brother was deposed. Louis Philippe is technically the last king to ever rule France. Marie Antoinette was not Prussian but was an Austrian. Please read a history book and get your facts straight. I will not even try to correct you on Robisperre, etc–you are just plain misinformed. You could have done better if you had even looked this up in the Wikipedia!

I worry for people who might use this as a source. It’s complete, and utter rubbish AND you need to learn how to write.
