Will Donald Trump Really Run for Office?

Over the last couple months Donald Trump has dropped hints that he may want to run in the presidential elections representing the Republican Party. However, in true Donald Trump fashion he has chosen the “You have to watch to find out” way of announcing weather or not he will in fact be running for president. Currently, NBC is airing episodes of Trump’s show Celebrity Apprentice. The show is a “reality show” which follows around “celebrities” (some more worthy of the title than others) as they complete various tasks in hopes to impress Trump so that they are not fired from the show until the very end. The winner will receive money for the chosen charity. Now, the celebrities are of course not only doing this from the goodness of their heart, they do get paid substantial amount of money as well as a great amount of exposure which in turn gives them other lucrative opportunities so that they can become even richer than they already are. Donald Trump started the show as The Apprentice, in that version regular business savvy people competed for a money prize as well as a chance to work for Trump. That version of the show was canceled due to lack of interest, but Celebrity Apprentice does attract some viewers, mostly ones interested in watching celebrities act like fools so it stays on the air.  But one could always use more views right? This is where Trump’s supposed presidential bid comes in. He has announced that he will announce (forgive the redundancy) whether or not he will run, on the season finale of his TV show.  Would watching Celebrity Apprentice really move people to vote for Donald Trump for President? Does saying “You’re hired” to Meatloaf really scream “I can lead this country to greatness” ? Or is this all really just a ploy for people to watch the Donald’s show and to advertize whatever other plans he may have? And if it is not, can he really be taken seriously as a potential candidate when he is clearly a big fan of putting on a show and keeping people guessing?
