Witch Hunt
An Article on the Persecution of Witches Throughout the Ages.
Some people were however appalled at these proceedings, one such person was Thomas Brattle, he was so incensed by the brutality and the methods of conviction that he wrote a letter to the Governor convincing him that no evidence of a supernatural nature should be allowed in a court of law. On October 29th 1692 Governor Phips dissolved the local court and decreed that all further trials should take place in The State Superior Court, these trials took place in May of 1693, there were no convictions, and this was effectively the end of the witch hunt.
Now we come to the 21st century, and after thousands of years of persecuting witches you may think that we have come out of the dark ages, think again, somewhere in Saudi Arabia a woman lays in prison awaiting her fate, her name is Fawza Falih and she was found guilty of witchcraft on February 16th 2008, and was sentenced to be beheaded, her only chance is a very unlikely royal pardon. So after thousands of years we find that as the human race we are still living in the dark ages.

Sorry I haven’t been commenting for a while but I’m currently in school and time definitely gets limited. Things should free up in the next month or two, though.
