World War 2

This bloody war was important to America because it let America out of its little hiding and we met other countries that we didn’t know about.

Japan used to be our ally in World War 1. After the war Japan became unfriendly and tried to attack Britain. The United States tried to make Britain end their 20 year alliance with Japan. With Stalin’s Empire rapidly growing, and China getting much stronger, Japan was surrounded. The only way that Japan could get out of this was by attacking America. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor December 7, 1941. This is how America got into WWII.

This bloody war was important to America because it let America out of its little hiding and we met other countries that we didn’t know about. World War Two also showed the rest of the world what America was made out of. This showed the world that this new country was very powerful and not a force to reckon with. This war also was a big up point for industry because we had to make all those weapons in so little time. Because of this, America devised ways to get the job done quicker. Even though this war took a major toll on us it wasn’t just for nothing, America learned from its mistakes and got better.
