Zepplin
A short essay over Germany’s Zepplin airships.
Have you ever heard of the Zeppelin? Well the Zeppelin was a huge airship used to move passengers, gave tour guides, and carried planes in the World Wars. Having all of these abilities and its mere size is what made the Zeppelin such an amazing piece of technology.
As an airship in war it carried panes to the battles site, and then it released them over top of the battle. After they finished fighting or retreated, they were hooked up on a bar that was lowered by the airship. Once it was connected they pulled the airplane up.
Being such a big airship, it was a huge tourist attraction. The Zeppelin would also take tourists up to see sites throughout Germany. This was one of its first jobs as an airship.
When it was used as a way to travel to different places, it took passengers from Germany to all around the world. The tickets for the ride were very expensive, especially if you wanted a room of your own. The ticket for a ride with your own room was about four-hundred dollars, about four-thousand in today’s currency. The food on board the Zeppelin was made to be gourmet meals. This quality of food was another reason for high prices.
In conclusion, I believe that the Zeppelin was an amazing feat in history. Even though it had a tragic crash, ending the airship business, it would have been awesome to see in its glory days.
