10 Ways to Stay Safe During Halloween Trick-or-Treating
Don’t loose sight of your kids even for a second.
- Don’t loose sight of your kids even for a second. Especially if they are under the age of 11and if it is after 6 or 7 pm. (There are many weird people running around at that time.)
- It is best if you go in a group of people and always carry a flashlight or some kind of light to let people know that you are there if it is too dark to see. Something fun to do would be to buy glo-sticks and put one around each child’s neck.
- Don’t go on a street where there aren’t many lights. And don’t go to houses that don’t have any lights on either.
- If you are wearing a mask of some kind, make sure that you can see through it without any danger of you tripping over something.
- If you are the only adult in the gruop make sure that you are constantly checking to see if anyone has been left behind or missing.
- Don’t go into a stranger’s house unless you know the person very well., AND the adult in the group goes in too.
- Plan Ahead! Plan where you will be going, and if you already know, plan what houses you will visit. Make sure that before you go trick-or-treating everyone knows where to go in case they get lost.
- Check all the candy, and if they are open do not eat it.
- Make sure you are carrying a cellphone! If there are older children with you make sure each one has one too or at least some of them. This may be your only way of communication if anything happens.
- Stay Close, don’t talk to strangers, and have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
