During holidays, mostly people like to take fatty foods made with butter, desserts, baked items which contain high calories and fats. By knowing the calories value in the food it’s a bit easy for us to avoid that food. Here are some examples:-
.In stuffing foods use low sodium chicken broth instead of butter and skip pork because a single scoop contains 550 calories.
.Prime rib holiday cut is made from the cows fattest part contains 750 calories and 45 grams fat so it’s better to take Beef Tenderloins which has only 1/4 of calories.
.Take shrimp cocktails instead of Crab cakes which contain 400 calories and 19 grams fat.
.400 calories are present in the candied sweet potatoes by serving 3/4 cup because it’s made from brown sugar, butter so take sweet potatoes as regular dish for health and also to less calories.
.To reduce the fat in Bacon Wrapped Shrimps, steam the shrimp instead of cooking with Bacon which contains 100 calories and 8 grams fat per morsel.
.Don’t eat the crust in Pecan pie; even a slice contains 500-800 calories because the pie is made with corn, syrup, butter and sugar.
.Use the skim Milk in Buttery mashed potatoes instead of whole milk and butter which contains 238 calories for one cup serving.
