Avoiding The Holiday Rush?
Department stores advertise items months in advance.
I was shopping at the neighborhood shopping mall when I walked into this littlespeciality shop. They had all kinds of miniature statues, glass and plastic snowballs, and beautifully decorated Christmas trees, among other things. As I looked at all the merchandise, I could almost smell hot chocolate in the air. That’s when I realized something, this month is only September. Christmas is three months away.
In all my years of holiday shopping, I’ve decided that the best time to shop is after the holidays. The prices are down, and the stores want to get ready for new items. You see, the big crowds have already done their shopping, and gift returns have already been done.
Everything is reduced, from the gifts, to the Christmas, Halloween, to even Thanksgiving items (except the foo, d) But I believe that three months is just early for holiday sales.
On the other hand, I wonder if certain supplies are limited? If certain items must be ordered early, then they might have to be sold before the public loses interest.
