Chinese New Year

hey people chinese new year is almost here!! this year is the year of the ox and most chinese race people like me would celebrate chinese new year the actual day of chinese new year for this year would be 01/26/2009. time to share with you guys what chinese people would do during chinese new year!. first they would take oranges and bring them to their relatives house usually its the younger people that goes to the elder people’s houses, they would go to the elder people’s house with oranges, they would drink tea witht he elderly and after drinkign tea they would wish the elderly good health and a happy new year and the elderly would give them a red packet and usualy inside a red packet it contains money.  Lots of people from all over the world would go back to their home country during chinese new year because this might be the one and only time where they can have a meal with their relatives. chinese new year is usually a time where children are always looking forward to because they would get red packets and that would help them buy toys
