Christopher Columbus–discoveror—invader
Did Columbus find a continent that was already there or did he invade and robbed the natives of their land? You be the judge!!

This the map that Columbus used to make his disovery according to Wikipedia online reference.
Let’s start with the fact as we know them. Fact one we observe October 12 as being the day that he discovered United States of America. Fact two we know that he had directions to get to the new world otherwise he would have had to be found. Fact three is we may not all know it but he did speak the same language as the natives. Fact four we know that the name was changed. Fact five we know that Columbus came from South America and was sent by England and Spain.
Now this is where you be the judge. The word discover means to find or make known for the first time. At least, that how Mr Webster defines it. The word find implies to me that something was lost. Now,was that country lost to the natives that lived here pre-Columbus? The reason I asked this question is because from my memory of history he had directions to arrive here. So again I say Columbus found a country that he had directions to get to. When he got here how did he know how to communicate with the natives? Well, history tell me that this country natives culture is just as that of the Spaniards. Like Mexicans and other Spanish speaking places.
I’m sure before he was employed to take on this task, research was made about the land and how to approach the inhabitants. With information on a destination that is clearly not a discovery but a job. Then when you think about the name of this country it clearly say plan trip. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. When you think about the ruling countries that put the plan in motion which are England and Spain. Columbus discovered America in 1492. Okay, what was it called before 1492? If you look at a detailed map you will see that there is an island located out in the Atlantic Ocean called America Samoa. I talked with natives that has confirmed that being the original name of this country. Why was the name changed? To reflect the new world ownership. The name say a lot to me as well as, history. First we have UNITED STATES which represent England since she is under the UNITED KINGDOM dome as head. Then we have AMERICA which represent Spain and the Americas(Central, which is now called Middle and South) as well as Columbus birth tongue.
So, again I ask discoverer or invader?

So if I decide to take a trip to a place I’ve never been and find people living there, to do what christopher columbus did I would kill them and take their belongings. In America we call that “home invasion” and we punish those responsible for it. We don’t take a day off work and celebrate their actions. Osama Bin Ladin wants to kill all Americans and steal their land but we call him bad, yet we call christopher columbus good. Granted they both had different reasons but the act is the same. Christopher Columbus was a home invader.
