Color Variations of Christmas Trees to Choose From
By tradition, Saint Boniface is credited with the invention of the Christmas tree.
By tradition, Saint Boniface is credited with the invention of the Christmas tree.

Christmas tree is one of the most significant symbols in celebrating the birth of Christ -the Redeemer. Purchase early and avoid the Christmas rush. The earlier the better and the prices are lower. Here are some color variations you can choose from.

Red is the color of love and Christmas celebration is all about love, so having a red Christmas tree is very appropriate. Even if your Christmas tree is green you can make it looks like a red one by decorating it with red Christmas symbols like flowers, balls and many others. Mix some golden color decors to break the monotony.

This Holiday tree looks elegant. Although blue is commonly associated with loneliness it is also attributed as the color of nobility. Having a blue Christmas tree doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re celebrating a blue Christmas, though in a way, it can be a way of expressing that you’re having a Blue Christmas. I’ll have a blue Christmas without you….so the song goes, so please come home so that I’ll have a white Christmas.

Others prefer a pure white Yule tree because it signifies purity and happiness. Irving Berlin said in his song… I’m dreaming of a white Christmas …just like the ones I used to know…Most Filipinos are always dreaming literally of a white Christmas, that is- celebrating Christmas in a temperate country and experiencing all those things about snow and ice.

You can also have a pure red Christmas tree decorated with golden Christmas decors. Red and gold blend very well. Add Christmas lights to make it more charming at night.

A poinsettia Christmas tree also looks elegant with the green and red color combination. Poinsettia, a flower leaves or leaves that is a flower, is also known as Christmas flower because they bloom during the Christmas season.

The typical green Christmas tree can look more attractive by adding red, gold and silver decors.

This typical form of Christmas tree is still the favorite of many because it’s the natural color by tradition of the original Christmas tree. Green also symbolizes hope. The tips of the leaves of this simple looking Christmas tree are luminous (fiber optics) and glow in the dark, thus, making it more attractive.

The first known electrically illuminated Christmas tree was the creation of Edward H. Johnson, an associate of inventor Thomas Edison and since then Christmas trees with lightings had been the trend.
For additional Christmas attractions at your home, you can also add the ff;

An electronic reindeer that glow in the dark, it is electronically designed and decorated with minute bulbs. Its head moves from left to right and vice versa, thus making it more attractive especially to the young ones.

Frosty the Snowman, its head also turn from left to right and vice versa.
Or for a change, you can convert a tree at your front yard into a “Giant Christmas Tree”.

I found this “giant Christmas tree” in an intersection at Baguio City. I am pretty sure that it looks beautiful at night with its lights on.

And whatever your preferred color for a Christmas tree, the most important thing is – the true spirit of celebrating the season – “love”. Spread love not only during the holiday but everyday.

Nice article. Great way to start the holiday season. While shopping on Sat my daughter and I saw a blue poinsettia. I was so suprised. Found out it was fake. Have you seen an upside down Christmas Tree? People hang them from the ceiling. It is different.

I like an old fashioned green tree with snow, icicles, and baubles on it. Yours are beautiful though. Best wishes, Ruby

Those are some really pretty (and colorful) Christmas trees. I noticed that a lot of people have been getting away from the regular traditional green Christmas tree and venturing out into bright fun colors. I was actually getting a little tired of my regular tree and decided to follow suit and change it up this Christmas past. A friend of mine recommended this christmas website that she got her tree from, so i checked it out myself and they have some pretty fantastic colorful trees. I ended up getting a blue one!! and I love it! You should check out some of their trees. I believe their website is Christmascentral.com
(Happy Holidays)
