Country Has Lost Its Humor: Illegal Alien Costume

Every year there seems to be some controversy over Halloween.  Usually it is some unheard of group claiming to be doing the “public’s good” raising their voice at the celebration of Halloween is turning our children into demon worshiping devils.  Personally, I think the real daemons are the children the day after Halloween when they’re hopped up on sugar but that’s the topic for another day.

Well, this year isn’t any different.  It’s not fear of Satanic cults though that are being placed into city council meeting minutes though but a ruckus on the Internet over something as silly as a costume.  The costume that is raising the ire of so many is that of a latex mask resembling an alien head, an orange jumpsuit, and a green piece of paper.  Taken alone they sound pretty tame but put them together and you get to some an absolute audacity.

Personally, I say congratulations to whoever was the genius that came up with the idea.  It is a brilliant play on words and lends humor to a day on the calender that many people take way too seriously.  In today’s society where children are being shut in at home for fear of drug dealers, abduction, and gang violence it is a pleasure to see the children out in the street playing with other children and *gasp* actually meeting their neighbors face to face.  If the country was more like what it is every year on the 31st of October I think it would be a much better place.

One word of advice though to the manufacturer of the costume.  Print a simple word in read over the face of the green card, “DENIED”.
