An egg is a symbol of a new birth and a new life. On the eve of Easter, many children decorate eggs using water colors, crayons, threads and glossy color paper.  Mostly chicken eggs are used for decoration of easter eggs.  Easter bunny as children call it, are the most famous for easter eggs.

The most important activity for children on easter time, is the preparation of Easter eggs. Children would like to take lot of time, in decorating easter eggs and share it with friends. Before the day of Easter, easter eggs are decorated and are placed in an Easter basket.

Once easter eggs are decorated, these look very appealing and give a great feeling for christians and jews who celebrate Easter on Sabbath day.

First an egg is taken and a small hole is made to remove the inside content and once the egg is empty, it is time to collect all the decorative items and keep them at one place and begin decoration of egg.  Each child might decorate ten to fifteen eggs and place these Easter eggs in an Easter basket which is also decorated in the most beautiful pattern.

Children share Easter eggs with friends, parents, relatives and church members.  Easter being a very selective festival of Christians and Jews, Easter eggs and decoration of easter eggs is also a very important activity that brings festive colors to elders and youngones.

Further children enjoy this activity, as children feel more responsibility in display of each one’s talent and also in demonstrating the skill and patience in egg decoration. The spending of time on decoration of each egg may last between twenty minutes to thirty minutes and children do not like to be disturbed.

Assign this activity to your children on this easter and let them enjoy while you watch their efforts and talent.
