Halloween decorations come in a wide array of colors, styles, shapes and sizes. Halloween decorations also include skeletons, ghosts, mummies, witches and more. Decorating your home for Halloween is fun and exciting for everyone involved.

When decorating for Halloween you need a theme. The theme might be from your favorite horror movie, a graveyard scene, skeletons and bones, witches and warlocks, ghosts and goblins. Some may even use witchcraft themes to enhance their Halloween decorations. Whatever the case may be, use your imagination to create the perfect Halloween themed decorations.

Many people just decorate their porches, while others decorate the yard. Some people decorate both for Halloween. Listed below you will find tips and tricks for the trick or treats that will be knocking on your door Halloween night.

Tip #1 – Decorate with a theme in mind.
If you love skeletons, decorate your porch and yard with nothing but skeletons. Lighted skeletons and skeletons that glow in the dark look awesome hanging from trees and porch ceilings. Use the same technique for ghosts, witches and other themes you have in mind.

Tip #2 – The scarier the better.
Halloween is suppose to be scary, fun and exciting all rolled into one. Graveyard scenes and horror movie duplicate scenes are fun, when set-up right. For ideas watch your favorite horror movie, take a page right out of the horror movie, and set it in motion right in your front yard. (No real killing though) If you use chainsaws to scare unsuspecting kids, make sure to leave the chain and bar off so they don’t get to awful frightened.

Tip #3 – Use a fog machine.
A fog machine gives off a creepy scary feeling when you walk into a yard filled with fog. Throw in some scary music and scary scenes as you walk up to the door and you have the making of the perfect Halloween night.

Tip #4 – Use black lights in porch lights.
Black lights give a feeling of darkness as you walk up to the door. For a creepier effect, add in the fog machine mentioned above. Throw in some dangling spiders and cobwebs hanging from the light, and you have an evil home.

Decorating for Halloween does not have to be expensive. You can purchase many things at a dollar store for little or nothing. Halloween only happens once a year so have fun with it, enjoy the one time of year that you can be someone, something else, and turn your home into the next horror movie.
