Doomed New Years Resolutions
These resolutions are not only overdone, but also doomed to failure.
I think that a good majority of people make New Year’s Resolutions. And those of us that know better sit back and laugh at them. However, as New Year’s Resolutions are being made, keep in mind that there are many resolutions that have a chance of not being kept.
The Most Doomed New Year’s Resolutions
A lot of New Year’s Resolutions are going to be broken anyway. There are goig to be people who make them but only out of some sort of obligation. They feel as if they need to make a new year’s resolution. You really technically don’t have to do anything and it is better not to make a New Year’s Resolution you’re not going to keep anyway.
Anything to do with losing weight or being on a diet.
All you’re doing with this one is just causing yourself to gain even more weight and also gain stress. Nothing wrong with going on a diet. However, it’s just off on the wrong foot if you make it your new year’s resolution.
I will quit smoking/drinking/drugs/gambling.
Pull the other one, it has bells on it. This one is always doomed for failure. Again, there is nothing wrong, but you’re really just dooming yourself for failure.
Any resolutions to being more honest.
This is an admirable resolution once again. However, why lie to yourself? You’re not going to keep this one. A small lie here, a small lie there, and pretty soon you’re back at the races. Dishonesty is not something that many break easily.
Anything regarding money.
Just anything regarding money, saving, not spending it, making more of it, investing it, the works, it never ends well.. Plan your budget, but leave the New Year’s Resolution out of it.
I do wish you the best of luck. Maybe you’re among the twelve or so percent of people who actually follow through. However, the odds are against you. Never the less, have a safe and happy New Year and remember, drive safely.
