Easy Diy Lady Gaga Halloween Costume – Police Tape Costume

Lady Gaga is well known for her outrageous outfits. In her music video Telephone, Lady Gaga wears nothing but police tape. You can replicate this awesome costume which is sure to be a hit for Halloween. Here are instructions to do it yourself adding your own twist.

You will need several yards of police tape which you can purchase from a costume or a dollar store. You can also use strips 8 inch wide strips of yellow fabric.

1. Prepare the police tape ensuring you have enough tape to wrap around your body.

2. If you are using fabric, you can use a stamp, paint of stencil to print all over the fabric in black.

3) A few days before Halloween practice wrapping the tape around the body.

4) Since you don’t want to be naked like Lady Gaga, you will need to wear a flesh colored body suit or tights and close  fitting top.

5) Start by wrapping the tape around the forehead to the back of the head.  Use a separate piece to wrap from the top of the head to under the chin, secure with a safety pin or tie at the back

6) Wrap a strip around the breast area several times until the breasts are covered and tie at the back.

7) Take a longer strip and fold in half . Place the center around the back of the neck and drape down the front, bring under the crotch area and up the buttocks. Bring around the front, cross at the waist and tie at the back.

You can get creative with how you wrap the tape around the body. For a more authentic Lady Gaga look, you can copy the hairstyle in the picture or wear a wig. For the tattoo look, try using a black marker to draw freestyle on the side of the body suit. Scribbles will be just fine.  Not recommended for children. Happy Halloween!
