Great Christmas Gift Ideas for Grandparents
Grandparents love getting gifts, but not the same kind as everyone else necessarily! This article will give you some gifts I have found successful in giving my grandparents!
Most grandparents love the holidays especially and are truly fond of having a nice family get-together. The price of gifts that are bought for them is not the issue, but rather the heartfelt value invested in choosing their gift. The goal for grandparents gifts is to give them memories! There are several gifts that I have given to my grandparents and they went complimenting those gifts for a long time!
1) A letter! I know this may sound corny, but do you understand how many times your grandparents will read that letter? They don’t work and are not busy with school anymore, so they have a lot of free time. That is where the memory gifts come in to play! My grandparents love going through letters I wrote to them when I was a child and they still enjoy reading them! When I say a letter, I mean a two or three page letter expressing your love and gratitude for them!
2) A nice picture frame with a good family picture that they do not have! It is important to take a lot of pictures when you are with family and that way, when you give them a beautiful frame with a picture that they have never seen before, they will enjoy it all the more! Make sure that when you are in their home to take notice of their pictures and that way, you do not duplicate them!
3) A video of family! If you are a child, this may not work unless you have your parents put one together for them! I made a video for my grandmother one year and she watched that video over a hundred times! Why? It’s a memory of family that she loves and enjoys being with when we’re not around!
4) Old movies during their young years! I will never forget the time I bought them Amos – n – Andy! They couldn’t believe I knew their time period as young people! I found that video and gave it to them for Christmas and they absolutely loved it!
5) Give your grandparents you for the holidays! Maybe you haven’t been spending time with them like you should! Make them a verbal promise that you will spend more time with them in the upcoming year! Time is all people have and grandparents love to spend time with their grandchildren.
Grandparents love Christmas gifts and more than that, they cherish memories! The Christmas gifts that they will remember the most are those that have memories behind them!

Back in the days before computers, we would give my grandmother stationery and postage stamps. It was something she could use. My mother would like this today since she doesn’t use a computer.
