Halloween Games and Scares Using Household Items
Great halloween games and scares for children.
I have done these for my son when he had Halloween parties and everyone had a great time.
- Have each child pair up. Give one child a rolls of toilet paper and have them wrap their partner up like a Mummy. Have time limit and a prize for the best Mummy. Switch the partners so the wrapper now becomes the Mummy and do again. This gives everyone a chance.
- Bobbing for apples (of course) You dont need a bucket just something with a big enough opening to get the apples. be sure to have towels on hand.
- Make Jello. Have a blindfold ready. A bandana will do. Place jello in a bowl either by itself or put in some olives (fells like eyeballs). In another bowl put wet, greasy raisins in a bowl with loose jello. they feel like bugs. If you have a mellon baller use it to make eyeballs. Most any fruit will work. Put these in a bowl with a liquid. Have the children put the blindfold on and have them try to guess what the items are.
- Have children play game like charades, but instead they have to act out a something to do with halloween. Could be anything from pumpkin to vampire.
Cut out bat shapes from black construction paper. tape on string and hang from ceiling.
Have scary music or movie on in the background (age appropriate)
And Don’t Forget the Camera
