Happy Easter Everyone!
by Easter has become more than a religious celebration for me.
Happy Easter to everyone in 2010.

Although I am not a religious person, I still feel Easter is an important time for us as a family. Because of the extended Easter break we have four clear days to spend as a family without having to rush around for presents and cards and a mad dash for the shopping like at Christmas.

Easter is much more relaxed; Spring is near and the aroma of the first of the freshly cut grass has mingled with an April shower to add a spring fragrance to the air.

This morning we noticed a small bird fly back and forth outside our bedroom window, it seems to have made a nest in the bird box we put up last year.

The sky seems bluer, the clouds whiter and everything has a fresher feel to it. There is a palpable frisson of new things, an excitement of beginnings and new horizons. A real start to the new year.
