Happy New Year Everybody

Happy New year everybody, I wanted to thank you for being my good friends and share some pictures with you.

I have had such a wonderful time on Triond these last few years that I want to wish all my friends who have made it happen a Happy New Year. I hope it will be the very best year ever for all of you. Nobody could ask for a better bunch of friends than I have found on Triond. You have supported me in every way, no matter what I post you faithfully add your comment.
I began on Triond by posting poetry that I have written over the years and personal tidbits. As I look back at some of those pages occasionally, I see that very few of those who were on Triond then are still with us. Some are still here but seldom post anything. Others seem to have vanished completely. Now I am one of the old writers.
I can see how much I have grown when I look back at my old pieces. I have learned to research and try to choose topics of interest. Sometimes I hit the mark, sometimes not, but I keep trying. I am here almost every day, reading and punching the key board. I have gradually gained readers and it’s all because of my friends on Triond. If you didn’t click on the pages, they would never get picked up by the search engines. You are the beginning of it all.

I wanted to tell you about my Christmas 2009, too. We rented a cabin on Sloppy Floyd Lake in Chattooga County for our annual Family dinner. We were all there. All my siblings that is. Lionel and I, of course, and some sibling’s spouses, my sisters, Betty Sue, Charlotte, Darlene, Jimmie Gayle,and our brother Henry who we call Dude.

Parts of all our families attended, and friends. We had a house full and if all had been there the cabin couldn’t have held us. My mama and daddy left a bunch of descendants.

The kids tell us it’s the only Xmas party they go to where only the adults get the presents. Only we sibs exchange gifts. We figure the younger set gets enough presents under the tree.

Our more immediate family had Xmas dinner at my son Thomas and his wife Jean’s house. We were all there except the two grandsons Daniel, and Alan and his family.

Daniel is in Afghanistan, and Alan who is out of the army, lives in Arizona with his wife Odethe and baby Ariana.

Sarah made a video to send to Dan and Al. It was a happy Xmas and would have been perfect had all the kids been with us. James and Sarah are our pride and joy. We hope to keep them awhile longer yet.

I just wanted to write something a little more personal, share some pictures with you, and thank you all for your friendship and support throughout my years on Triond. I look forward to reading more about your personal lives. Human interest is the spice of life and I thrive on it.

Happy Belated New Year to you my dear friend. Yes you and now myself are some of the older members of Triond. I like to look back on my first posts and so many friends are no longer here but we have many new ones. Thank you for this wonderful look at your blessed family. I am one of those who loves to look at family pictures. Looking forward to a good 2010. Try to stay warm because if it is freezing cold in Florida, I know you are cold there.
