The house was built of such magnitude that the workers like carpenters and craftsmen died until Sarah was alive. Sarah used to get very distressed in those times and consulted one of the spiritualists. She was told that there are many ghosts in the spiritual world who have been killed by her husband. These ghosts could do very bad to her and the only way to get away with this is to build a strange warren-like house in an effort to trap the ghosts. It should have doors which are very small in size and open nowhere, stairs that ends up to the ceiling and windows that open to other rooms. It is known that Mrs. Winchester was a smart lady and she built the house with latest technology products e.g rooms with gas lighting, rainwater recycling system etc. The house is one of its kind as the most haunted house as since Mrs. Winchester’s death, many psychic have been seeing red balls of light that glow and fade.

Congelier House

This house was once known as the most haunted house of America. The story of this haunted house revolves around Charles Congelier, his wife Lyda and a servant girl named Essie. It all went bad when in 1871, Lyda came to know that her husband is having an affair with Essie. Lyda became so angry that she cruelly pierced Charles and killed Essie by cutting her head off. Since then, the house became vacant for almost 20 years and with the passage of time, a few families tried to settle in the house but left it due to unusual activities that happened in the house. In 1900, a doctor bought the house and did some experiment on chopped heads and sometime later, he escaped from the house due to paranormal circumstances as a result of his work. The neighbours reported that they found a strapped female body and few headless women in the basement. In the end, the Congelier house got destroyed due to the explosion of a gas tank nearby in the county.

Do you believe in that? I really think it is more of psychological disturbance than anything real even though historical evidence presented is awesome.

Well i do believe in haunted houses as my own old house was haunted and i have seen some weird happenings with my sane mind and open eyes …

However most of these cases are result of psychological disorders or far-stretched rumors so who knows. I can’t advocate they are haunted for real … but you never know :P

This is a good article. I’m printing it out and going to read it again near Halloween. It’s only 2 months and some days away.
