Haunted Houses of The World

The haunted ridge avenue mansion in philadelphia.

48% of all Americans say they believe in ghost, 22% of all Americans say they have seen or felt the presence of paranormal entity. So i guess its not really surprising when I tell you about the houses and the legend of their “inhabitants”.

#1. Ridge Avenue Mansion, Philadelphia

In 1871 a carpetbagger named Charles Wright Conglier and his wife Lyda moved into the mansion. Not long after Mrs. Conglier found her husband having an affair with their servant girl, Essie. Needless to say

Mrs Conglier went crazy stabbing her husband to death then seeked revenge on the servant girl by claiming Essie’s head.

20 years later the mansion was remodeled for rail road workers who didn’t stay long because of the women who was crying and screaming but that no body could see or find.

The next person to live in the house was Dr. Adolf C. Brunrichter, he moved into the mansion around 1900. The neighbors said he hardly ever left the house untill the night of August 12, 1901 one of the neighbors heard a horrific screaming coming from the mansion Richard Winer and Nancy Osborn in their book, Haunted Houses wrote ”When they ran outside to investigate, the neighbors saw a red explosion-like flash shooting through the house. The earth under them trembled, and the sidewalls cracked. Every window in the doctor’s home was shattered.” When investigators searched the house they found a nearly decomposed women tied to his bed, and the decapitated bodies of five more women in his basement. The doctor disappeared that night but police officials say they picked up a man claiming to be Dr. Brunrichter and telling them about all the murders and possessions that took place in the house, but with no evidence proving he was the good doctor the police released him.

#2.Berry Pomeroy House, England

The Berry Pomeroy house is said the have two ghosts. The first one we are going to talk about is the white lady said to be seen in the houses dungeon where she died. People believe the Whit Lady to be a women name Margret Pomeroy. Margret fell in love with a local man and when Margret’s sister, Eleanor, found out she fell in love with the man as well. Filled with anger and jealousy Eleanor locked her sister Margret in the tower dungeon where she stayed there for days and starved to death.
