Easter is the most important festival for those who believe in christ. Christ has risen from the dead, which is celebrated in the form of Easter. Easter Sunday as they call it, is most famous for ‘Easter Eggs’ and ‘Easter candles’ and wishing one another ‘A very Happy Easter’.

Small family or a big family, in many countries people attend sunrsie church service, as it is conducted  while it is still dark, that is between  5.00 a.m and 6.00 a.m before the sun rises from the East. This is due to the fact  that followers of Jesus came to the sepulchre of Jesus while it was still dark in the morning of Sabbath.  As a mark of respect, christians, jews celebrate Easter by taking part in Sun rise service conducted by many churches throughout the world.  Sunrise service is a great blessing for all christians.

Mothers make savory recipes and invite guests for lunch and dinners and all the family members, relatives greet each other as a mark of respect on the eve of Easter. Lighting of candles is another event that brings lot of peace and quietness for people asking God to bring peace into our lives.

Paying our tithes and helping poor people are spending money for charity are some of the tributes that we pay to God on this Easter.  Easter Greetings can be sent to friends, relatives and to dearones through Internet.  There are many e-card websites available.

Truly Easter is a remarkable festival and for this day Jesus was born, so that the gospel and missionary work would continue be preached in the world.  The son of God, came into this world, to experience life a normal human being,  to suffer under political pressures and was crucified but rose on the third defeating sin and ruthlessness in this world. Jesus taught a wonderful prayer and said that many things can be achieved through prayer.
