How to Get The Most Candy on Halloween

First of all don’t go to houses where the people are ‘old’ or foreign. Many eldery people tend to give out mints and quarters. At foreign homes, people may not know what Halloween is.

The days before Halloween you should map your neighboorhood if you are able to. Try not to decide where you are going first and second then last until you go out and see where everyone else is. The thing with Disney (which is hosting unlimited trick or treating this year) is that there is going to be lines for everything, and you won’t get much candy before the night is over. Go early, like once you see that one or two people are out if you are new to the neighborhood. Don’t go out too late either. Many people aren’t getting ready until it gets a little dark, like around 7 and it’s getting a bit dark. Some people go at 6:30. If you are 10 or older then you can go out till 9 or 9;30 and younger kids hould stay until 8. Don’t over trick or treat. If you see that people are going in or houses are dark then go in or at least wait until a majority of people seemed to be following to going in trend. Get a big bag or pillow case to make it look like you dont have a lot or some kind of big bag. This way people give you more. Peanut butter cups are really popular, and if you have an allergy to something like I do then you can give it to someone for twice the amount. You could ‘auction’ your candy with your siblings if you have any. Just hold up candy that you know they love and you hate, and you will get a lot. I started this trend at a birthday party, actually.

Try a decoide bag. 1) Before going out, put a pillowcase into another one, leaving a space for candy at the bottom of the outside bag. In the outside bage put some padding so it looks a bit flat. 2) Go to houses, and hold out your bag so that people can specificlly see that you have little or none. If anyone is suspicious, just say that you were just at a party. You should get more. 4) Sneak somewhere into a backyard or in your house bathroom and put the candy into the outer bag. Keep some in the top.

Here’s how to defend yourself. A lot of people will try to get your candy, so the best thing to do is go with a bunch of neon bands and a flashlight, and pretend to be looking for robbers everywhere on your way from house to house. Shining something bright in their eyes will definetely distract them and you shold get away quickly.

Do NOT go to someone’s house if their lights are off. They may be really cranky or bad if you knock on your door.
