How to Make Christmas More Exciting: Present Hunts
This is a great way of making Christmas more exciting.
Give out no presents, that would surprise everyone.
Really though if you have a younger brother/sister, son/daughter, or even an adult in your family then this is a way to make the exchanging of gifts more fun. On Christmas or on the days leading up to it give a clue or a riddle to your child and let them read it. They will then have to work out the clue in order to find the location of the next one. Just like a normal treasure hunt realy. If it is something that requires more than one part, then leave a part with each clue. For example if it’s a remote control car, leave a batterry with one clue, if it’s a book then leave a bookmark. Be imaginative and think of exciting clues and prizes.
Alternatively there could be tasks to complete for each bit of the prize, that way the child is helping out during the busy run up to Christmas and having fun doing it.
I always make my sister solve a series of difficult clues in order to recieve her present and this year she asked me would I be doing it again. She likes it a lot and your child/sibling/spouse might too so why not give it a try.

I just read this to DH, he laughed. Several years ago he wanted a DVD player, I worked extra shifts to earn the cash, then realised, DH would know what player was the best to buy, I decided just to give him the cash. Not wanting it to be boring, the children and I wrote poem clues that got him up out of his chair, everytime he sat down, he had to get up again to find the next clue, we kept him active for over half and hour. The final clue lead him to…the underneath of the chair he had been sitting on all along! we all had fun when he realised he had to only reach underneath half an hour before. He was thrilled.
Fun article, thanks.

You need to edit this article.
You’ve spelled that with a ‘j’, spouse with a ‘d’, and you mention something called an ookmark.
You should also examine the structure of the piece, as paragraph two carries on into paragraph three.
