How to Set Up a Christmas Tree

1. Set up the Christmas tree stand. Assemble the tree and spread open up the branches.
2. Plug in the Christmas lights to check that they are working.
3. Put the tree topper on top of the tree; plug in if needed. Conceal the wires inside the tree branches.
4. Wrap the Christmas lights around the tree starting at the top of the tree until you reach the bottom. End at the back of the tree. (If your tree is pre-lit skip to step 5.)
5. Drape the garland around the tree starting at the top and ending at the bottom of the tree.
6. Hang the ornaments on the Christmas tree. You do not need to hang ornaments on the back of the tree if it’s against a wall.
7. Tie the tree skirt around the tree stand. If you do not have a tree skirt use a piece of material, sheet, or blanket.
