How to Shop, Christmas 2009
A guide on what to buy for certain people.
A present is a mysterious thing. It can bring great joy and pleasure, or disappointment and ill-temper to a wanting child. This is a guide to make sure your Christmas is one to remember, although Christmas is certainly not all about giving gifts. However, bringing no presents to Christmas would be like bringing a knife to a gun fight. Remember, Christmas can be very affordable on any budget, and there are all sorts of trinkets and gizmos that people find amusing.
Let’s work are way up
Toddlers, Infants, Little Children
There much to young to understand and appreciate gifts. That doesn’t mean to leave them out come Christmas time though. Cute pajamas, toddler toys, bibs, and fuzzy animals will all entice younger children. Dvds can also be great. Little Einsteins or Sesame Street could keep them busy, and they may even learn a little bit. And three words…Tickle Me Elmo.
Children, Tweens
Children are relatively easy to shop for. There’s a good chance that they are caught up in the latest fashion. Hananh Montanah, ICarly, or any of those shows are usually great for younger girls who aspire to be famous. Books are great for the bookworms that you know, and even the right book can intrigue someone who doesn’t read that often. For boys, dinosaurs, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Bakugen are all great choices. Trading cards or dolls can make an excellent gift, or even a poster will do. Plush dolls are a nice compliment to any present as well.
Teenagers, Young Adults
By far the hardest category to shop for. Most teens just want to be left alone, so trying to get a Christmas list is pretty much pointless. You can’t go wrong with Itunes giftcards if they have an Ipod. Even a pre-paid credit card isn’t a bad option, allowing them to buy what they want. Clothes can be a good option here, American Eagle, Ambercrombie, and Aeropostle are all popular “cool” clothes that this category will enjoy wearing. Books arn’t generally a good option here, unless someone is an avid reader. Buying sports equipment for a sport there in can also get you out of a pinch or atleast spread around ideas.
Adults, Grandparents
Nostalgia will hit home here for the latter part of this category. Grandparents will appreciate things that remind them of their childhood and such. Golfing supplies for a grandpa will work wonders. Grandmahs might appreciate gardening supplies or photo albums. Adults will most likely enjoy household appliances that make their daily lives easier. Oven mitts, microwaves, and all the other usual applianances.
Results will vary depending on the type of person you give a gift to. No two people are alike in wants and needs and require different gifts. You can’t go wrong with cash however, as people can then pick out whatever they choose or invest it in. Remember, it is a lot better to get your shopping out of the way today so you can relax during the holiday season. Black Friday is a great chance!
