I’m Dreaming of a Weird Christmas

Everyone celebrates Christmas in different ways. Some people are very traditional. Some people are completely over the top. Some people don’t celebrate Christmas at all. And some people are a little odd…

There are many ways to celebrate Christmas or whatever holiday — none of them are right or wrong.  They just are.  Everyone has different ideas about what fits the holiday season, what is “right” or “wrong”, “weird” or “normal” (read boring) or what they believe is beautiful.  Imagine how boring the world would be if everyone thought, dressed and behaved in exactly the same way.  Sometimes we just need a little weirdness to perk things up a bit.  I believe it’s good — even great sometimes– to think outside the box.  I hope that you and yours enjoy a great holiday season doing whatever it is you do.

This sign was found in an airport.  I’m not sure if it’s a restriction about what can be taken on an airplane or just a general “no Christmas crackers” at all rule.  Maybe it’s the loud noise that they make when they’re opened.  Maybe it’s the ridiculous hats you’re forced to wear once they’ve popped.  Or maybe they’re just tired of the crappy prizes inside of them.  You be the judge.

Here’s another weird Christmas sign.  It looks like you should call Rogers’ Christmas House in case of emergency!  There is no crime too big or too small that the Christmas house can’t handle!  lol  Maybe they just tell Santa Claus if you’ve been really naughty.

There are all kinds of “different” Christmas ornaments out there.  I’ve done an article just on odd ornaments, if you want to check it out.  This I’ve definitely never seen before though.  In my neighborhood, the light up reindeer ornaments are popular.  Who knows what goes on in other neighborhoods…

Santa does many things in his off season but this set up of Santa surfing in his long red underwear never really entered my mind.  Maybe it’s Christmas in California.  *Sigh* I will go somewhere warm for Christmas one year.

Here’s another image of Santa Claus that I’ve never really thought of.  Hippie Santa.  I love how his Christmas colored boxers are sticking out the top of his jeans.  It’s a really nice and creepy touch.

It looks like there’s been a Santa massacre!  Santa’s supposed to be sliding down chimneys, not hanging off the side of metal structures by his waist.  Perhaps it’s burglar since the last time I checked, Santa doesn’t wear a back pack.

This baby Jesus looks like one of my babies — absolute huge!  My daughter weighed 11lbs 5oz at birth.  This baby looks like it weighs at least 100lbs when he’s compared to the other figures in the nativity.  Yikes, someone did NOT have a great Christmas.

Here’s one Christmas yard display that just leaves me scratching my head.  The homeowner actually changes the decorations around depending on what holiday it is.  Skulls in Santa hats just doesn’t really scream Christmas to me but to each their own I guess.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas should always be filled with happy thought, not scarey.
