It’s a Wonderful Life It Really is

It’s a Wonderful Life. Isn’t human resilience amazing. No matter what we go through in this life, we find a way to bounce back and find the goodness in life. It’s a wonderful life; it really is.

Christmas isn’t just a time for presents and pretty lights, but, it’s also a great time to reflect on the year and years that have passed.  We watch stories like “A Christmas Carol” and see how Scrooge was taken back to see how he spent his life.  Many of us reflect on a daily basis, but, more so during this time of the year.

After looking back at the good and the bad, we can see just how merciful life has been.  Things could have been so much worse.  I remember nearly drowning, then, years later flipping my car in the middle of morning traffic.  Those are two occasions that could have gone much differently, but, I survived.  All I can think is, it truly is a wonderful life.

So, what are you grateful for?  Looking back what incidents do you dwell on; is it the ones that didn’t go your way, or the ones that could have been much worse?  I could dwell on totalling my car, or dwell on the fact that I walked away from the accident without any broken bones or major cuts.

Christmas time is a great time of the year.  With the new year right around the corner, I am looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the coming year and years.  I examine my now.  Things could be so much worst than they are.  I am grateful for my now, my past and the future.  What say you?  Is it a wonderful life?

I was actually watching one version of A Christmas Carol as I was reading this. It is a wonderful life and no matter what goes wrong, there is still something to be thankful for. We are very blessed!

You are so right. Sometimes we need things to nearly go wrong before we appreciate what we have. This is a nice encouraging article for this time of year. Thank you.

You’ve had a few close shaves. Thank God you’re alive. I can look back at a few incidents too. We have many blessings.
