Labor Day: A Time for Friends and Family
A day for cookouts, horseshoes and fun times. Utilize that smile to its fullest and make a difference in your day…
What a great weekend! The weather has been great here in western Pa. I hope you have a great holiday weekend. No work for most and the last day of summer for many school districts.
So what are your plans? What will be cooking on your grill this labor day?
Are you having a quiet family celebration, or an all out block party? What ever your plans are enjoy this day to the fullest. Take time to understand what this day is about a celebration and a time to thank all of the laborers that have come before us.
The Union has done many great things for the worker. Perhaps none more than a fair wage and safety on the work site and on the road. We owe them much this holiday season and many of the truckers will still be on the road making our goods get from point ‘a’ to point ‘b’. Thank you for your dedication.
The Soldiers, brave men and women who work everyday no matter what holiday it is. We owe them a huge ‘thank you’ and a sincere smile and continued support. No matter what your party affilation no matter if you like the war and the reasons we are there, the troops, our troops deserve the thanks and support. Without them our freedom as we know it would not exist.
So enjoy your day, spread the smiles and use this time to recharge, reflect and rededicate your energy to making the American Family a top priority.
No doubt you have seen the news over the last few months and years for that matter. More and more people are losing respect for the family, sometimes their own. Take time to make a difference in your family. Stand up for the ones who day in and day out reach out and love you. Watch over your neigborhood, never close your eyes to what is happening in your circle of influence. You can make a difference. Expect to make a difference and you will.
May God bless and keep you this Holiday season and everyday!
Till next time…. Smile!
