Nightmare Before Thanksgiving: The Attack of The Turkeys!

Wild turkeys can attack people and are more aggressive during the mating season.

I thought this was funny for this season!

Wild turkeys being very nasty and attacking people! I didn’t know it could happen, but I only saw domestic turkeys in my life and I never saw one of these!

I never imagined turkeys flying and being so intimidating, but after reading the comments on the videos I realized it is rather frequent, these kind of attacks on people.

It seams they are more aggressive during the mating season and I was also amazed to know that there is people that use turkeys as guards instead of dogs.

The important thing to do in this situation, as far as I understood, is not to show fear and try to chase them with a stick, they will be frightened and go away.

But I wouldn’t like to face one myself!!

Not able to view the video, but I had heard in the past that they can be very aggresive.

It seems they were trying to defend themselves from being roasted. I got chased by geese once and it was really frightening. Good post.

Interesting Article. I wouldnt mind a Turkey as a “guard” for when I am eating. I don’t want to be disturbed.

Happy Thanksgiving – Hope the Turkey roasts well. :)
