The Peruvian government declared a holiday on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Valentine, and day 13 of the same month, a move unprecedented in Peru that aims to promote domestic tourism in the country, according to the rule of law, published Thursday in the official sheet.
Holidays not worked, which can only be held next year, will be mandatory for public sector, which consists of more than 700,000 employees, and has a goal of stimulating local economic growth by encouraging travel by Peru.
The Peruvian government says that the private sector can also be attached to vacation if you wish.
This is the first time Valentine’s Day, when some countries celebrate the day of love or friendship, a holiday in Peru.
