Pearson &Lsquo;will be One of The Best’ Insists Leicester Legend

Leicester City legend Steve Walsh is adamant the re-appointed Nigel Pearson is the right man to lead the club into the Premier League and believes he’ll be one of the best managers around in the near future.

Leicester have failed to win their last two league matches, being held 1-1 at home to Peterborough United and then losing 2-1 last Saturday at Doncaster Rovers. Two sides the promotion hopefuls would have been expected to beat, and Foxes fans are becoming more and more frustrated with the team tipped to challenge for the Championship title back in the summer.

“I am behind Nigel, I always will be. – I think he will be one of the best managers around in a few years time.” Walsh told the Leicester Mercury.

Pearson was re-appointed Leicester manager five weeks ago after Sven Goran Eriksson parted company with the club and Walsh believes the club is in the best possible hands now.

“I have seen the way he works, seen his professionalism, his tactics. Everything is spot-on with this guy that will make this team work. – I am a firm believer in Pearson and his ways. We have a long way to go this season and he knows that.”

Leicester are next in action on Boxing day when they host an Ipswich Town side that have recently found some good form after a horrendous run of seven straight defeats.
