Peppermint Treat for the Holidays
Super Yummy Ice Cream.
So why exactly Peppermint?
Well, legends have it that this Christmas flavour actually started from the candy cane, one of the symbols and favourite decorations for Christmas. The candy cane was originally a straight peppermint stick used as a Christmas decorations. At one occasion in Europe, a choirmaster bended the peppermint sticks to resemble a shepherd’s crook and gave it to children witnessing the event. Fast forward to 1800’s, the original peppermint stick continuously evolved as a Christmas decoration with additional red stripes on it, arriving in the shores of America. People began associating the bended peppermint stick to Jesus Christ and resembled it to the crook Jesus used to guide his “flock”. In a an unexpected turn of the story, people said that Jesus used hyssop, a member of the mint family, as a purifier and a blessing, thus increasing even more the popularity and association of peppermint to Christmas.
The Yule Flip Peppermint Chip Blizzard and Ice Cream are only available this Christmas Season. The Ice Cream is only available for take out from its Robinsons Galleria, Gateway Food Court and Eastwood branches.
