Do you know pumpkin? The beautiful appearance and the sweet taste are the reasons why baby like it a lot. It has many benefits for baby.

My baby loves pumpkin. Pumpkin has many essential nutrients body needs. Searching the benefits of pumpkin, I found out some interesting facts:

1. The yellow appearance of pumpkin shows  the beta carotene contained in the pumpkin. Beta Carotene is a yellow-orange pigment ingested in the body and turns into A Vitamin. A Vitamin and Beta Carotene are useful in maintaining eye and skin health, self immune, and reproductive function. Besides, it functions as anti oxidant reducing the risk of cancer and heart-disease.

2. Pumpkins is a source of C Vitamin. C Vitamin is important in metabolism, plays role in immune system and functions as anti-oxidant.

3. Pumpkins is rich of Iron. Iron is required in formation of blood, particularly Hemoglobin (Hb).

4. Pumpkins also contain Potassium. Potassium functions in metabolism and maintains the balance of water and electrolyte (acid-base) in body-cell.

5. Pumpkins is rich of high-fiber content, reducing the risk of constipation. Besides, it is low fat. 

Knowing the essential nutrients in the pumpkin, I get sure that pumpkin is good for baby.
