Pumpkin Carving Done Easy
A quick and easy way to carve a pumpkin.
I’ve never been a fan of carving pumpkins but my wife and children love it so I found a quick and easy way to get it done.
First cut the top of the pumpkin and gut as usual. Once cleaned out grab a drill and a 1/2 inch to 1 inch spade bit (based on pumpkin size). Use the spade bit to “drill/carve” out the eyes. Either use the same bit for a round nose or a smaller spade bit if you want to do a triangular one (three holes).
For the mouth simple do a line of continuous holes close together. Use a knife to cut the little pumpkin that remains between the holes.
Total time for actual carving, 2 minutes. Carving a pumpkin with power tools? Priceless.
