Rainy Christmas or Not?
by A wet or dry Christmas. A lot of people are more concerned about the climate than the event itself. Does it matter? Is it going to rain this Christmas or is it not?
A year ago, it was predicted that next year, which is this year (2011), 19 typhoons will be visiting the Philippine archipelago. Comments range from if the said predictions were true or not, and whether the people who predicted it are once again wrong. No one knew.But a lot of the people affected is not concerned about it being true or not. Instead they were more concerned if it is going to rain or not, even a drizzle, on one of the most important yearly event in the history, which is of course Christmas Day. As most of us know, when the “ber” months approaches, along comes the number of typhoons as well.
So, is it going to rain this Christmas or not? Others would guess that it is not going to rain at all, while others said that it will. I guess that it does not matter at all. If it is going to rain, so be it. As long as we are with the presence of our families, enjoying a festive holiday, exchanging gifts and singing carols, rain or not, it does not matter. Let not our festive activity be hampered by the coming of the rain. If I may say, “rain, rain, go away, come again another day, just not this Christmas day”. How about you? Any predictions?
