Record Attempt for Longest Kiss in Pattaya

A contest will be held in Pattaya in february 2011 for the longest kiss.

From February 13 until February 14, 2011 the “Love Marathon Kiss” contest will be held at the Royal Garden Plaza in Pattaya (Thailand). This Guinness record attempt as part of Valentine’s Day, is devoted to the longest kiss ever recorded. 

The current record is 32 hours 7 minutes, 14 seconds and based in Hamburg during Valentine’s Day (2009). Participants will compete for a cash prize of 100,000 THB (€ 2.350, -) and a ring worth 50,000 THB (€ 1.180, -) from the World Gems Collection. 

The event is organized by Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks in Pattaya.The kiss may not be contrary to morality. The Thai Ministry of Culture should therefore give permission for the event. 

99 couples are expected to participate in the record attempt.The pairs may consist of male – female, but man – man or woman – woman are also allowed. Participants, both Thai and foreign nationals. However, the couples have to be married and proof of a legal marriage needs to be shown. The minimum age for participation is 20 years. 

The lips while kissing may not be separated. If you can do this for longer than 32 hours and 7 minutes then you get an honorable mention in the Guinness Book for the longest unbroken kiss in the world. In addition, you can receive a cash prize and a valuable ring.
