Say a Prayer This Special Day

Enjoy Christmas, the day of our Savior’s birthday, but don’t forget…

Say a prayer for those who cannot afford any Christmas gifts for their children.

Say a prayer for the children who will not see any gifts when they wake up Christmas morning, only feel the cold of the morning because there is no heat in the house.

Say a prayer for the little children who believe Santa thinks they were bad all year.

Say a prayer for those families who will not have a Christmas feast and a loving, sharing family at the table today.

Say a prayer for the mom who manages to bring home a few toys for her children Christmas Eve, only to watch them be destroyed in front of them on Christmas morning by a raging, abusive husband and father.

Say a prayer for the mom who watches her abusive husband destroy all the dishes in the house on Christmas morning and has nothing left to feed her children on.

Say a prayer for the mom who is verbally abused and has long ago lost the feeling of love and care by her husband, but ironically, still loves him, in a way…he was her first.

Say a prayer for the mom who will be beaten by an abusive husband before the day is over.

Say a prayer for the frightened little children who are deprived of the joy of Christmas and only sees their parents fighting and instead of laughing as children normally do on Christmas, they cry.

Say a prayer for the little hearts that are broken and damaged forever.

Say a prayer for the mom who is too afraid to leave her abusive husband and knows she will be chased down if she does.

Say a prayer for the mom who cannot hold back her crying in front of her children and runs to find a place out of sight to cry her eyes out.

Say a prayer for the little children who are shattered hearing their mom crying so loudly.

Say a prayer that these little children will not be ruined by such hostility and hurt as they grow up and become adults.

Say a prayer for the abusive husband to realize he has lost everything meaningful in life and.find a better way.

Say a prayer of thanks that you and yours are warm and comfortable and enjoying all of the rituals of Christmas, Santa Claus, Christmas dinner, gifts, laughter and love.

Say a prayer that some day, our savior will have mercy on moms and children in distress and heal their hurt and bring happiness into their lives, so they too will have a chance to experience the joy of Christmas.

You touched my heart also. I’m saying a prayer for the elderly grandparents and parents that are verbally abused. Thanks for reminding us of so many tearful situations. May God surround you with His Love!

What a good heart you have. Not many think about the sad souls who will not be celebrating like the rest of us.
