Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2012 Issue – Airbrushed
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2012 Issue – Models are airbrushed.
One of the local radio DJs was having a conversation about the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue for 2012. I just became a little curious as to who was in it as this DJ was drooling over this one particular model named Kate Upton. So, of course, I had be nosy and google this on the internet. Now, before I say this, these models are indeed beautiful, but what caught my eye was that most of these models seemed to be airbrushed in their photos. Their bodies look a little “too perfect” in the photos. Way back in the day, airbrushing didn’t exist. Swimsuit models in SI were not airbrushed and to me, they all looked naturally beautiful. God didn’t make any of us flawless. So for SI to have these models airbrushed is harmful to society especially to teenage girls who may possibly see these models as “role models”. These are not “role models”. There is no such thing as “perfect.”
Movie stars are airbrushed too especially the actresses. Age is inevitable, we can only do what we can do and that is it. We have to work with what God gave us. I can say that I dread getting older, but it is what it is. I work hard to keep myself in shape and stay healthy as much as I can, but all of us need to draw the line somewhere.
So when will the airbrushing stop or will it ever? When will society accept the fact that none of us are perfect regardless of age, size, etc.? We are all beautiful.

Agree! The airbrushed look is stupid and plastic. I remember when it wasnt a crime to show natural blonde peach fuzz on some of these girls.. Everyone of them looks like a frickin manequin. I am out on SI!!!!
