Spread The Christmas Smiley Bombs
Give your Triond friends a Christmas cheer this season.
I was doing my routine commentary when I happened to come across with Jane Jane’s profile- one of my friends here in Triond. A funny thing caught my eyes- I saw a Triond user left remarks in smiley faces. I knew this Triond user, not a friend yet, but I’ve known him not to comment in such lazy fashion. Anyway, his last statement made all the sense. As it turned out, the two were actually exchanging ten page views as a Christmas gift to one another. The Triond user was simply leaving his mark as a proof that he did his part of the bargain. Reading his last comment, I was surprised, when he said, ‘No need to return the favor’. This made me think of some things.

Let’s admit it, guys. Here in Triond, we leave comments not only to make friends and to keep them as friends. We also check out others work to be recognized and to have some favors returned to us. Not quite an obligation if we are commenting on our usual friends but just the same, it is always the give and take concept- I’ll scratch your back, you scratch mine; I’ll give you two page views, give me also two; Give me five, I’ll return it five.
So, cutting out my crap, how about we let the Christmas spirit descend or rather explode upon us? For the whole year, we have been doing the same habit- commenting and receiving comments. How about, just this season, we give something to our friends that they shouldn’t give back in return? It’s a good way of showing appreciation.
If you are up to it, here are my ideas:
The gift of page views
Surprised? I guess not… because it’s the only thing that we can give them. Choose a friend or two. Me? Since I only got a few, I choose five.
How many views?
I was thinking of giving them only five, but five page views are easy and it wouldn’t be fun. So, I decided that Jane Jane’s idea in her article A Blogger’s On line Gift is better- ten page views each Triond friends.

The Christmas Smiley bombs
The Triond user’s idea was good. A smiley is a nice way to let our friends know that we’ve been there. We are talking about page views, so no need to read or to make other unnecessary comments. We can leave a smiley in our friends’ old or new articles. By the way, I called them ‘Christmas Smiley bombs’ because they are supposed to bring a blast of happiness to our friends’ hearts… Sounds gay? Hey! It’s Christmas!
The rules
Now, this is the tricky part. Whoever friend, whom you have left your Christmas Smiley bombs should not return you the favor; otherwise, you’ll have to choose another friend or someone to give your gift. If a friend wants to return the favor of giving back your smiley, he or she should give them to another friend. This way the Christmas Smiley bombs can bring cheers to other Triond friends.

What’s the catch?
It is Christmas season. It’s all about sharing joy. Peace on Earth? Individually, we can only be a part of it. But, sharing smiles? We can do our little things about it. Me? I just wanted to do something different. Besides, giving Christmas Smiley bombs to friends are a lot cheaper.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Hey, glad you like the idea. Your idea is really nice but when Triond error occurs during comments, that would be nasty.
