Thai Real Faith – Self Sacrificed
Thailand celebrated annual unusual events "The Phuket vegetarian Festivals". This event is held during the 9th lunar month of Chinese Calendar. What makes them unusual?
As part of their annual events, they held the most unusual Vegetarian Festivals. This events is believed that it gives good fortune upon those people who observed this rite.
The most highlights of this events is their ceremonies that held to invoke their gods. They have different rituals and ceremonies during the events and this ceremonies are very different and unusual among others celebrations. When you witnessed their celebration during the festival you will see the real faith and commitment of Thai people towards their gods and beliefs.
During this celebration, they believe that abstinence from meat and other stimulants during the 9th lunar month of Chinese calendar will help them achieve the good life, health and peace of mind. And this celebration is adhere to Nine emperor god,s that ensure for their goodness of life and peace of mind.
During this celebration they have different commitment for their self, and this commitments are practiced for 9 straight days.
These are the example of their commitments:
Pregnant women and menstruating women should not attend ceremonies.
These are the example of their Rituals and Ceremonies :They are using different sharp tools to pierce their faces without anesthetic. Painful right? but they have to overcome with it, to obtain the good karma and release the bad energy from their bodies.

Thanks but no thanks. Di ko carry yan Bobie. I’d rather express my faith in other ways I think which is more beneficial to others but I respect their beliefs though.
