Thanksgiving Day is is national holiday dedicated to giving thanks to God for his blessing towards us. It is not about turkey dinners, parades, or Football games, but it is about thanking God. Yes the turkey dinners, parades, or Football games part of it but the focus is intended to be thanking God.

The Pilgrims feast commonly called the Fist Thanksgiving from which we get the tradition of Thanksgiving Day Feast, was just such a celebration. The Pilgrims were thankful to God for their bountiful harvest. They had previously been through a harsh winter that took the lives of many and this made them particularly thankful to God.

This Thanksgiving Day lets follow their example and thank God for his blessing towards us.
