The Beatles were something like we had never seen before. They were cute and exciting. Is anyone else here old enough to remember their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show?

I awoke to a bright, beautiful day this morning. it makes me feel cheerful just to look outside and see the lovely blue sky. If there is anything more beautiful than a bright shiny day, I don’t know what it is. I turned on the radio while making breakfast and the Beatles were on. They were the most listened to band in the entire world when they first came on the scene.
This morning, they were playing and singing “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” I didn’t know they were referring to LSD at the time. I just loved the song. Ringo was my favorite of the crew. He was so cute sitting there with his mop of hair beating those drums. Do you remember all the talk about their long hair. When I look at pictures of them back in the day, I see their hair was actually quiet short.
It goes to show the older generation can always find fault with youth. Not intentionally of course. It’s just that each generation grows in different ways. Anyway, listening to the Beatles brought back old memories. I’m sure all of us who were at that age when they came on the scene have our memories of the Beatles. They were new and exciting. We had seen nothing like them before. And really, nothing like them since.
