The Dreaded Valentines Day

All this bloody hype for no reason. In my opinion valentines day isn’t even a real holiday. Valentines got it start by the Saint Valentino who had the idea that on this day every year in the local village a person’s mate would be picked and they would have to stay together until the next valentines day. A new mate would be picked the next year and so on. It was to help regulate the village. Had nothing to do with senseless flowers, chocolates which shouldnt be given out by the person who apparently loves you since it will only make you fat, and every pink red and frilly. Hearts had nothing to do with it, it was a form of survival so just think about that next time you go to buy a disgusting v-day card that is oh so amazing because it talks. Get off your lazy asses and get your loved one a card every day if you really feel that is the only way to show your love. It shouldn’t be about one day specially if you promised them forever. The sweets, the bears, the cards? Its all just societies way of sticking their heads so far up their partners ass they can’t tell the difference and its the economies way of milking the proverbial cash cow of all their money. I can grantee your loved one will be just as happy spending the day with you and if not well i don’t know what to tell you.
